People who build and leverage cross-functional relationships to bring together ideas, information, use cases, and industry analyses to develop best practices.What You Will Do:Work as development partner with product design & development teams and evaluate products to the applicable requirements of international safety standards for the design of medical equipment

  • Partner with Product Development teams on design & sustainment of medical devices to ensure the technical understanding of the required safety standards on the global scale.
  • Support product development teams with the technical understanding of the required safety standards during the design & development of medical devices.
  • Carry out design analysis to support engineering teams within the boundaries of safety standards. Assist in identification and implementation of design elements and control of conditions hampering product safety.
  • Understand and interpret standards of IEC60601 family (Medical Electrical Equipment Safety) and related standards.
  • Drive product safety design reviews with the project teams
  • Conduct & coordinate product safety testing, including EMI/EMC and Wireless.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of actions to resolve product issues.
  • Lead communications between development teams and NRTLs (e.g. UL, CSA, ETL, TUV), other agencies.
  • Provide support to external test houses / Labs during product evaluations.
  • Support safety compliance of Stryker's products in Global Markets
  • Create and maintain appropriate reports and related documentsWhat You Need:Basic Qualifications:
    • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related curriculum.
    • 2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Project Engineering or similar field.
    • Highly organized and capable of tracking multiple projects through various stages of development
    • Being a resourceful, hands-on, problem solving individual with initiative and drive to get things done.
    • Strong technical leadership, communication, planning & organization skills with great work ethic.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience within product safety compliance
      • Experience with medical devices
      • Working knowledge of regulations & standards related to Medical products (IEC60601, etc.)
      • Work experience in regulated industries
