General Information Country: USA State: Michigan City: Grand Rapids Office Location: 901 44th Street SE - - - - - Date posted: 17-Feb-2025 Business Function: Information Technology Position Type: Full-Time/Regular Description We are hiring a Data Engineer to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI.Duties: Collaborate with product owners, managers and engineers, help with scoping and defining Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define, design, and build big data solutions using tools like Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, etc.; Architect, build, and monitor scalable and robust data pipelines using data from various databases, application and files; Perform any necessary data mapping, data lineage activities and document information flows; Collaborate with data analytics stakeholders and data scientists to streamline the data acquisition and curation process; Implement an enterprise data governance model and actively promote the concept of data - protection, sharing, reuse, quality and standards; Optimize and deploy machine learning models for production in batch, streaming and web API scenarios.Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Computer Science or related engineering field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include: working with SAP variant configuration and SAP APIs; experience working with IOT data collection from sensors; visualizing and interpreting data and designing databases; working with large scale distributed datasystems, pipelines, and data processing, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks; experience working with relational and NOSQL databases, including modeling and writing queries; experience in programming in SQL and in one of the following: Python, Scala, or Java, Shell or Spark; experience with any public cloudinfrastructure.Other: Job Site: 901 44th Street SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. 40 hours/week; If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S.Why People Choose to Work with Us: At Steelcase, we put people at the center of everything we do.
