Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description This is a first shift Maintenance Technician role from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The individual will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and inspections on plastic injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment. The role involves working on grinders, presses, heaters, dryers, cranes, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatics systems. Additionally, the technician will handle 3-phase motors and 480v electrical systems. The position requires installing, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment related to hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems within an injection molding manufacturing facility. Equipment includes injection molding machines, process water systems, compressed air systems, and automated paint lines. Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning on injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment. Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with grinders, presses, heaters, dryers, cranes, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatics systems. Handle 3-phase motors and 480v electrical systems. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment dealing with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Work on injection molding machines, process water systems, compressed air systems, and automated paint lines. Essential Skills Journeyman's Card 3 years of experience in hydraulic and electrical systems 3 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints Additional Skills & Qualifications PLC experience Injection molding experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
