Job Description:
Eaton's Vehicle Sector is currently seeking a Regional Category
Manager (Forging, Powder Metal components, & Cold Forming) to join
our team. This position can be based at our Southfield, MI,
Galesburg, MI or Marshall, MI facilities. A hybrid work schedule
will be permitted if located within 50 miles of these three
locations. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Position Overview:
This position will lead the development, management and oversight
of common platforms of standard supply chain processes; and develop
regional strategies through consensus building to implement
cost-effective improvements for Eaton Vehicle Group.
Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by
driving cost management, supplier base resilience and operational
benefits. Within our supply chain, the Regional Category Manager -
Forging, Powder Metal components & Cold forming supports the
development and deployment of the global category strategies of
these categories cover North America and south America.
In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost,
commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) for these
categories by leveraging synergies across businesses & Products,
categories & regional and driving the "One Supply Chain"
philosophy.

In this function you will:
* Develop strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business
synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional
preferred supplier partners.
* Support the new win by provide a competitive direct material cost
& on time deliver the qualified project requirement.
* Design and drive a best strategy for the mixed business
requirement (Like JVs + Eaton)
* Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and
relationships.
* Continuously look for opportunities to drive and change into a
Digitalized business environment.
* Review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category
agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic
directions.
* Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity
projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure
key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, Diversity
Spend, etc.) are achieved.
* Develop global communication plans and share new planning tools,
methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement
opportunities with senior management that are aligned with
SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
* Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best
practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
* Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability
Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies.
* Plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned
spend, and support execution with the business cross functional
teams.
* Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers
annually.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, engineering or
business administration from an accredited institution required
* 5 years of purchasing experience or 10 years of total supply
chain experience e.g. supply chain, sourcing, commodity management,
materials, logistics required
* Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience within
the Automotive Industry is required
* Ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without
sponsorship now or in the future
* No relocation benefit will be provided. All candidates must
reside within a 50 mile radius of Southfield, Michigan, Galesburg,
Michigan, or Marshall, Michigan. Hybrid work schedule will be
permitted if located w/in 50 miles of one of these three Eaton
Vehicle locations
Preferred qualifications:
* Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited
institution
* Experience with SCM program and commodity management
functions
* Prior experience negotiating with global suppliers
* Prior experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders,
including senior management (internally and externally)
* Prior experience deploying commodity strategies and/or driving
cost-out
* Knowledge of or experience with industrial manufacturing
processes
* Prior experience with machined or forged metallic components
