PayActive! *Job Summary * Under the supervision of the Community
Director, a Nursing Services Manager assumes responsibility and
accountability for assisting in the planning, organization,
direction, supervision and evaluation of all nursing services in
the facility. Assists the Community Manager in ensuring the nursing
department is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
and implementation of the community's core programs. Assists the
Community Manager with ensuring the maintenance of records and
reports concerning resident care. Ensures the orientation and
training of nursing services personnel is completed. The Nursing
Services Manager will oversee changes in condition and help
facilitate transfers within the continuum. *Major Responsibilities
* The Nursing Services Manager will: 1. Maintain excellent customer
service skills at all times by following the goals and policies of
the organization in providing courteous, prompt and dependable
service 2. Ensure clinical documentation and service plans for new
admissions 3. Use positive and effective communication skills with
all individuals 4. Coordinate timely resident care conferences 5.
Participate in staff development/orientation training 6. Supervise
and evaluate all new nursing personnel 7. Oversee incident/accident
reports and investigations 8. Oversee resident charts for accuracy
9. Oversee physician orders and implementation 10. Coordinate end
of month Medication Administration Record change over 11. Attend
scheduled mandatory in-service meetings and attend staff meetings
12. Oversee medication orders and administration 13. Monitor
residents for effectiveness of drug therapy and occurrence of
adverse effects 14. Notify Community Manager when there is a change
in resident condition 15. Follow narcotic disposal policy 16.
Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information 17.
Be responsible for the safety of residents 18. Observe infection
control procedures 19. Be a role model in the Best Friends Approach
to dementia care 20. Attend pharmacy yearly review and update
in-services 21. Complete 90 day and annual performance evaluations
on nursing services staff 22. Attend assorted meetings 23. Perform
other duties as assigned *Required Certifications, Licenses, and
Registrations * 1. Licensed RN or LPN in the State of Michigan 2.
Current CPR certification *Knowledge and Critical Skills /

Completes all mandatory in-services as required *Essential Physical
Functions * 1. Ability function under stressful conditions 2.
Ability to life 25 pounds 3. Ability to tolerate walking 4. Good
physical condition without limitations that would prohibit bending,
