Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manages and/or performs all relative plant,
company and personnel policies and procedures, compensation and
benefits programs, employee relations programs, safety and training
programs, employment programs for salaried and hourly employees
(which includes the preparation of all formal legal employment
documents), and compliance activities with respect to state and
federal employment laws.Assist in the administration of all
personnel policies and procedures, compensation and benefits
programs, associate relations programs, safety and training
programs, employment programs for salaried and hourly associates,
and compliance activities with respect to state and federal
employment laws.Drive employee engagement to maximize safety,
manufacturing, quality and customer service goal
attainment.Develops and aligns HR initiatives to the business
strategy which includes the ability to identify, analyze,
understand and articulate business goals and objectives at the
company, plant and business unit level.Manage and develop human
resources team at the plant.Improve processes and procedures within
the HR departmentCreate and standardize work instructions for the
HR department.Track and manager HR and company KPIs.Manage the
recruitment process for all hiring, for both internal and external
job postings, in consultation with the management team.Investigate
employee issues and conflicts and brings them to
resolution.Conducting new employee orientations, exit interviews,
and employee meetings.Trains and advises managers and supervisors
on employee relations issues, performance appraisal administration,
salary administration, and other plant human resource related
issues.Plans, organizes, and allocates department resources to meet
department and company goals.Promotes an associate relation's
environment that is consistent with long term management
objectives.Provides support and guidance to HR generalists,
management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and
sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer
and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as
providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of
wrongdoing, and terminations.Controls department expenses and
oversees plant budget.Ensure compliance with regulatory activities
such as EEO, AAP, OSHA / Safety, Worker's Compensation,
Unemployment, FMLA and FLSA.Plan and implement company
events.Conduct employee surveys, focus groups, and employee
meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.SPECIALIZED TRAINING,
SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:4-year degree required in Human
Resources, Business or a related field.10 years or more, experience
in a human resources function (manufacturing setting preferred).5
years in a supervisory/management role.Knowledgeable in areas such
as Safety, Training, Recruiting, Employee Relations,
BenefitsGeneral knowledge of ethical business practices and
knowledge of all laws and regulations affecting human
resources.Strong communication, verbal and written skills
required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:Office
environment with noise from computer peripherals such as printers
and disk drives.Also works in factory environment with noise from
manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and
electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness
around equipment.Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects -
weighing up to 25 pounds.Travel- 10%
