  JOB DESCRIPTION:
  
  Home Health Aides can be assigned to deliver personal/supportive care such as: bathing, feeding, grooming, medication reminders and more. Household support services may include meal preparation, light housekeeping to support the client's ability to remain at home.
  RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 
    
  • Participates in development and implementation of client's care plan with the Client Care Manager.
  • Participate in discussion during in-home visits from nurse as asked.
  • Assists the client to maintain personal hygiene and grooming
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment
  • Assist client with ambulation
  • Knowledge of walker/cane/wheelchair adaptive equipment
  • Encourage as much independence as possible in accordance with the personalized care
  • Sustains infection control in client's environment per Heritage guidelines
  • Verbalizes knowledge of asepsis and universal precautions
  • Assists client with medications as designated by the Client Care Manager
  • Homemaker services involve light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands or incidental transportation.

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
    • Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
    • Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
    • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly manner always putting customer service first
    • Previous Homecare experience is not necessary
    • The Home Health Aide position may require you to run errands and provide incidental transportation for a client using your vehicle or a client's vehicle. You must have your own vehicle and provide a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
