Augusta, Georgia Full Time New Grad Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a board eligible/certified Trauma Surgeon.
Not every hospital is prepared to treat trauma patients, but at Doctors Hospital we have a specially trained team to care for your serious emergencies. As the only American College of Surgeons Verified Level II Trauma Center in the CSRA, Doctors Hospital has the proven expertise to save lives. As a state-recognized trauma center, we provide a higher level of care for the most critically injured patients. Fully-staffed 24/7 with board-certified trauma surgeons and a team of experienced professionals, life-saving surgery is available within minutes of arrival. Patients are cared for in two dedicated trauma bays in our Emergency Department. The board certified trauma surgeons are supported by our experienced emergency medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, specially trained critical care and emergency nurses and other trauma trained professionals. The trauma care experts at Doctors Hospital also work closely with their partners in the field -- emergency medical service providers -- to deliver coordinated, specialized treatment to patients who need Level II trauma care. In addition, Doctors Hospital provides leadership in education prevention to the public through community events and continued education for trauma team members and trauma research
