Hematology/Oncology opening in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Hematology /
Oncology Opportunity - Kalamazoo, MI (Between Chicago & Detroit,
Year-Round Activities) Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo, MI is
seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join its
high-performing cancer team at the Bronson Cancer Center Kalamazoo
which is a new cancer center that opened in January 2021. This
physician will have the opportunity to sub-specialize partially in
treating lung cancer patients. Candidate will join a practice
consisting of 5 other medical oncologists/hematologists and 5
advanced practice providers, and multiple other clinical staff
providing nurse navigation, survivorship, social work, nutritional
support, and palliative care. This is a hospital-employed, mainly
outpatient position with some inpatient consults working M-F, 8 am
to 5 pm, with call shared equally with the other physicians in the
team. This will be an employed position offering a competitive
salary, comprehensive benefit package, productivity incentive,
annual quality bonus, generous PTO and CME allowance, malpractice
with tail coverage, sign-on bonus and/or fellowship stipend.
About Bronson Cancer Center - Kalamazoo
This new facility opened in January 2021 in downtown Kalamazoo on
the campus of Bronson Methodist Hospital. The new cancer center
houses Medical Oncology/Hematology, Palliative Care, a Hemophilia
Treatment Center, a Multidisciplinary Clinic, and an Infusion
Center along with amenities to support patients cancer journeys.

responsible for diagnosing illnesses and prescribing as well as
administering treatment for patients suffering from disease or
illness. They also examine patients in addition to obtaining
medical histories. Other job responsibilities include ordering,
performing and interpreting diagnostic tests in addition to
counseling patients regarding preventive healthcare, hygiene and
diet. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate
competencies specific to the population served.
Medical degree and 2 years of direct or intern experience
required
Current Medical License in the state of Michigan
Current DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration
Must maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges
--- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical
principles, procedures, and techniques
--- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient
treatment
--- Effective verbal and written communication skills along with
proper telephone etiquette
--- Performs in a tactful and professional manner
