Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a cardiac telemetry night position with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications and a valid MI RN license. Responsibilities - Work in a 54-bed main cardiac telemetry unit within a hospital setting - Primary patient population includes those with heart failure, heart attack (STEMI/NSTEMI), stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain - Patients are closely monitored on cardiac monitors, with care managed in both remote telemetry and on the unit - Ability to administer cardiac drips and care for medical overflow patients as needed - Utilizes Cerner Powerchart EMR with Cerner experience required - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30) - Required to work every other weekend - Holiday coverage: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays - No on-call required - PCA support provided on the unit - Floating may be required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census - Main responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, cardiac drip management, and caring for high-acuity cardiac and some medical overflow patients - Must demonstrate professional conduct at all times, as this is a sensitive account where contract may be terminated for unprofessional behavior or excessive call-offs - Required scrub color is Caribbean Blue - Initial training includes up to 8 hours of online modules to be completed within 1 week of signing - Block scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed - Request for time off is limited to 10 days, and holiday RTO must align with requirement to cover at least 1 holiday - Must provide two recent professional supervisory references and a full 7-year work history with all gaps explained Requirements - Active MI RN license required - Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (pending certs accepted with agreement to complete before start) - Cerner EMR experience required - Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted) - First-time travelers will be considered - Must complete 3-8 hours of online modules prior to start, to be self-reported - Candidates who were previously employed at this facility must have been gone for at least 3 years prior to consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619501.
