qualified Med/Surg RN in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49007! Pay
Information $2,728 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1-2
years of Medical Surgical experience preferred License: Valid RN
license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - BLS
certification (AHA) - NIHSS certification (or willingness to
complete certification prior to start) Description: We are seeking
a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. The unit
specializes in the care of patients with neurological disorders.
These include stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and other
inflammatory disorders of the brain and spinal cord. We provide
care for post-operative neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery,
laminectomy, and spinal fusion patients. The unit has telemetry
beds and bariatric beds, allowing us to care for a diverse patient
population. We also have a Neuro Monitoring Unit for seizure
patients starting at age five. The nurse to patient ratio will be
1:4 or 1:5. There will be a requirement to work every other
weekend. Floating to other medical surgical units, ICU units, and
emergency department waiting rooms may be expected. Required
equipment includes EPIC and Pyxis. A flu vaccination is required,
with medical exemptions available. No holiday requests will be
accommodated, but dates may be discussed with management.
Candidates with previous charge experience are preferred. We look
