in Cerner - First-time travelers accepted Description: This
position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry. The unit has a patient population
primarily consisting of trauma surgery, post-bariatric surgery,
post-abdominal surgery, post-amputation surgery, and urological
issues. The unit is also responsible for overflow medically and
cardiac patients. The schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts,
with weekend requirements of every other weekend and holiday
requirements of every other holiday. The nurse will manage a
patient ratio of 6-7 patients per nurse during their shift.
Experience in specific skills such as cardiac telemetry, IV
management, and post-operative care is required. The facility
caters to a variety of patient age groups, including adolescents,
adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is provided by
various healthcare professionals, including physical therapy and
respiratory services. Applicants must have a valid state nursing
license and must obtain all required certifications before
starting. An understanding of professional conduct expectations is
crucial, and any conduct issues may lead to contract termination.
