Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on a cardiac unit with Cerner charting and every other weekend requirements. Responsibilities - Work in a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit within a hospital setting - Patient population includes heart failure, myocardial infarction (STEMI/NSTEMI), stroke, cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional medical overflow - Most patients are on cardiac monitors with telemetry monitored both remotely and on the unit - Cardiac drips are administered as part of patient care - Support from Patient Care Assistants (PCA) is provided on the unit - Required to work 3x12 day shifts (07:00-19:30) - Every other weekend rotation is required - No call requirements - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays - Floating may be required within the hospital or to nearby affiliates based on census - Cerner Powerchart used; Cerner experience required - Responsible for providing specialized cardiac telemetry nursing care and managing cardiac drips - Required to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start online modules within 1 week of signing - Scrub color is Caribbean Blue - Professional conduct standards are strictly enforced, and contract may be terminated for any violations - Holiday work is required for 2 of the 3 recognized holidays - Block scheduling is not guaranteed but may be accommodated if possible Requirements - Active MI RN license required - Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience required - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certs accepted prior to start) - Cerner charting experience required - First-time travelers will be considered - Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (radius rule applies) - Previous staff may return only if separated for at least 3 years Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613168.
