Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Telemetry position in a main cardiac unit with night shifts and a MI RN license requirement. Responsibilities - Work in the cardiovascular telemetry unit of a hospital setting - 54-bed cardiac unit handling heart failure, heart attack (STEMI/NSTEMI), stroke, cardiac arrhythmias, and chest pain patients - Majority of patients require cardiac monitoring, with use of remote telemetry - Cardiac drips managed on the unit, and possible overflow medical patients - PCA support available on the unit - Night shifts: 3x12 hours (1900-0730) - Required to work every other weekend - Must work at least 2 out of 3 holidays during contract - Block scheduling not guaranteed but management will try to accommodate - No call responsibilities - Required to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed - Cerner Powerchart EMR, Cerner experience required - Main responsibilities include monitoring and managing complex cardiac and medical overflow patients - Team includes PCA support and a professional interdisciplinary group - Scrub color is Caribbean Blue - Mandatory completion of up to 8 hours of pre-start modules within 1 week of signing, average time 3-8 hours - Professional conduct is strictly enforced; any conduct issues may result in immediate contract termination - Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed; if RTO overlaps with holidays, must work at least 1 of the 3 major holidays Requirements - Active MI RN license required - Minimum of 1 year recent Telemetry RN experience - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS - Cerner EMR experience required - Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted - First-time travelers accepted - Return staff must have been gone for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622279.
