Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in Michigan with night shifts and specialized critical care requirements. Responsibilities - Work in one of three critical care units: Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU, or Cardiac ICU in a hospital setting - May float to ICU stepdown or to affiliated hospitals depending on census and need - Patient ratio is 1:2 in the ICU - 3x12 hour night shifts (1900-0730) - Weekend shifts required every other weekend - Holiday coverage required every other holiday - On-call duties required - Cerner Powerchart EMR utilized; Cerner experience required - Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility - May be assigned to any critical care area or stepdown based on facility needs - First-time travelers are accepted for this position - Must complete up to 8 hours of online modules prior to start, to be finished within 1 week of signing - Caribbean Blue scrubs required - Professional conduct and reliability are strictly enforced, with conduct issues resulting in immediate termination - Maximum of 10 days of RTO allowed; if RTO includes holidays, must be available to work at least one of three major holidays - Locals are not eligible for this travel contract Requirements - Active MI RN license required; may be pending at time of application - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Certifications preferred: TNCC, CRRT - Cerner charting experience required - Return staff must have been gone for at least 3 years prior to consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626255.
