Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit in Michigan, requiring a current MI RN license and strong telemetry skills. Responsibilities - Position is on a 54-bed main Cardiac Telemetry unit in a hospital setting - Patients include those with heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke needing cardiac monitoring, arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional medical overflow - Staff provide care for patients on cardiac monitors and cardiac drips - PCA support is provided on the unit - Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30) - Every other weekend coverage is required - Must work at least two out of three holidays - Floating within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required depending on census - Cerner Powerchart is used and Cerner experience is required - Care for a diverse cardiac patient population, including managing cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring - Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and PCA support is available - Up to 8 hours of pre-start online modules must be completed within one week of signing - Scrub color is Caribbean Blue - Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed, with specific holiday coverage expectations - Professional conduct is strictly enforced; contract may be terminated for unprofessional behavior or call-offs Requirements - Active Michigan RN license required - Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications considered if obtained before start) - Experience with Cerner Powerchart EMR required - Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility - First-time travelers are accepted - Return staff must have a minimum 3-year break before eligibility as a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622278.
