Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN with at least two years of experience, a MI RN license, and required certifications to work day shifts in an intermediate care setting. Responsibilities - Position is in a 22-bed Stepdown Intermediate Care unit - Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week - Weekend requirement: every other weekend - Call required - Holiday coverage required every other holiday - Floating as needed within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals depending on volume and census - Uses Cerner Powerchart for documentation; Cerner experience required - Scrub color is Caribbean Blue - Care for intermediate acuity patients in a stepdown setting - Completion of up to 8 hours of pre-start online modules is preferred and self-reported - Professional conduct is strictly enforced and violations may lead to immediate termination - RTO requests up to 10 days allowed; if requesting RTO during holidays, must be willing to work one of the three holidays - First time travelers are accepted for this position Requirements - Active MI RN license required (pending accepted if willing to participate in licensure project) - Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown or Intermediate Care experience - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - CPI certification preferred - Cerner experience required - Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted - Must not have been employed at the facility within the past 3 years Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629592.
