Pay Information $3,006 per week About The Position Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - 3 years of experience in CVOR - Cerner charting experience - Ability to work two overnight call shifts per week - Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as needed Description: The position is for a CVOR Registered Nurse. The shift will be 4x10, meaning four 10-hour days. The hours will be from 07:00 to 17:30. The nurse will be responsible for patient care in a cardiovascular operating room setting. Call requirements include two overnight shifts per week. There is a weekend requirement of two shifts during the contract period. Holiday coverage will be required every other holiday as needed. The typical patient ratio during the day is 1:1. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census in the unit is approximately 35 patients. The unit performs procedures related to open heart and thoracic surgeries. Independence and a proactive approach to patient care are essential. The nurse will be expected to float within the hospital based on census and needs. Required skills include proficiency in various surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and trauma surgeries.
