Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Battle Creek,
Michigan, 49017! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours
per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid
Michigan license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN
Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM Must-Have: OB, Mother/Baby and Labor
& Delivery experience No time off during the first two weeks of the
contract Ability to work in all areas of Labor, Delivery, Recovery,
and Postpartum Description: Preferred start date is February 23rd.
Will consider March 9th start date. Patient ratios follow
established guidelines for staffing. Will work every other weekend.
Will float to assigned locations as needed. No call required. The
unit consists of 15 beds with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms.
Registered Nurses provide antepartum care, labor and delivery
support, operating room circulating duties, and newborn care at
delivery. Nurses perform lab draws and hearing screenings on
newborns. Training will be provided for completing newborn infant
hearing screenings using specialized equipment. Scrubs will be
provided. Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills in
circulation and fetal heart monitoring triage. Additional preferred
skills include the ability to scrub for procedures.
Interdisciplinary support includes various health services and
departments. Nurses will care for patients across multiple age
groups, including neonates and adolescents. This position requires
completion of all lab work within 48-72 hours after acceptance.
Travelers will be prioritized for floating assignments. Proof of
flu vaccination must be submitted with application; exceptions for
medical reasons may be considered. References are required. 5
