Job Description What You Will Do: As the Chest Pain Coordinator / Cardiac Regional Liaison at Borgess, you will organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the Cardiac program. Responsibilities: Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program services and initiatives. Prioritizes multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion. Coordinates the handling and processing of office administration duties specific to the assigned clinical program. Collaborates with others to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures. Serves as the Chest Pain Coordinator for Borgess Medical Center. Facilitates and maintains SCPC Chest Pain Accreditation for BMC in collaboration with the ETC, CVL, CSS, IP units, medical staff and administration. Supports education of regional sites and EMS on the care of the CP / ACS / STEMI patient, according to the SCPC accreditations requirements. Visits regional sites to maintain and build on current business relationships, focusing on cardiac initiatives. Responsible for activities of the Door to Balloon / Chest Pain Accreditation Committee and the regional Door to Balloon quarterly meetings. Responsible for orientation of new employees in area of responsibility. Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Bachelors of Science in Nursing required at start date. Master's degree in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years of start date. Three to five year's professional nursing experience with a minimum of three years clinical nursing in cardiology required. Experience in caring for STEMI patients required. Knowledge of cardiac and CVL operations required Experience with chest pain accreditation preferred. Chest pain coordinator experience preferred.
