Division Description:The Kalamazoo Division is a full service,
BRCGS certified corrugated facility with an ISTA test lab on site.
We manufacture a wide variety of corrugated products from point of
purchase graphic displays, to any size corrugated shipping
container.Position Overview:The Human Resources Coordinator
provides administrative and technical assistance to the divisional
Human Resources manager.Responsibilities:In this role, you
will:
Respond to routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on
employment verifications and job openings in line with written
company policy.
- Responsible for activating and de-activating building access
keys for employees and vendors.
- Assist with recruitment for exempt, non-exempt and temporary
workers. Schedule candidate interviews, participate as an
interviewer for production positions.
- Coordinate all pre-employment screenings including drug
screens, pre-employment physicals, and background checks.
- Conduct new employee orientation; administer scheduled
increases and performance reviews for production employees.
- Maintain plant and office bulletin boards to ensure up-to-date
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with the open enrollment process.
- Day-to-day administration of various HR functions such as
attendance, benefit eligibility, unemployment claims, verification
of employment requests, etc.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
- Arrange employee morale events, coordinate the Quarter Century
Dinner, and holiday party, update break room monitors with relevant
HR information.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you
should have:
Proficiency in MicroSoft office programs, and other applicable
database applications.
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human
resources work.
- At least two years of college, and a minimum of two years'
administrative or human resources experience. Consideration will be
given to equivalent work experience in an HR type role.
- Superb communication skills, ability to interact effectively
with both employees and managers.
- Must maintain confidentiality of all employee records.
- Basic understanding of employment laws such as: EEO, ADA, FMLA,
COBRA, USERRA, etc.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, as well
as having meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
while maintaining a tactful demeanor.
- Convey a positive and professional image to applicants,
employees, and external vendors.
- Reliability in attendance.Compensation & Benefits:Commensurate
