Job Description Job Description CDL Driver CDL-A Truck Driver needed 2nd shift for direct hire in Fort Wayne starting at $25.67/hour! Apply Now! What's in it for you? - Direct hire Position - 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm - Paid Lunches - Generous benefit package offering medical and dental coverage, paid holidays, and paid time off CDL Driver Details: - Direct Hire position - $25.67 /annually - Full Time work available - Second Shift (Monday through Friday) - Drives truck to and from destinations. - Positions blocks and chains to secure cargo during transit. Prepares receipts for loads picked up and delivered. - Maintains truck log(s) according to State and Federal regulations. - Maintains telephone / radio contact with supervisor(s) to receive delivery instructions. - Loads and unloads truck by forklift or hoist. Puts materials away in their proper places / bins. Ensures that trucks are kept clean on the inside. - Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. - Reports any and all damage of trucks, chains, and straps immediately. Reports all vehicle maintenance issues immediately. CDL Driver Qualifications: - Must have experience in 10, 13, and 18 speed transmissions. - At least 2 years’ experience • Ability to load and unload the truck numerous times a day - Must be willing to work overtime as needed and work Saturdays - Must have State CDL-A License - Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. - Must have previous forklift certification or experience - No recent moving or driving violations - Applicant may be subject to a background check - Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report - Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment *A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
