Job Description:

Under general supervision, fulfills customer orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction: primary contribution is processing orders for customers and selling Motion Industries' assets. This position works more than 50% of the time at the customer location. Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package that includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.This position will be located in Three Rivers, MI.DUTIES:Responds to customer inquiries, provides quotes and takes customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods or walk-in (counter sales)Orders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for Consignment customersResponsible for sourcing products in branch inventory, Distribution Center inventory or supplier inventory. Ensures identification and sale of Motion Industries' assets. In some cases may have to locate a productInfluences Motion Industries' Gross Profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price, within certain parametersProactively generates sales by actively promoting Motion Industries' products to existing customersExpedites backordersMay pull inventory and prepare order for shipment to customerMay handle customer returns FinancialMay place orders without approval for orders up to $25,000 per r line and $50,000 per Purchase OrderMay adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet the demands of the customer based on competition, while maximizing the profit for Motion IndustriesMinimizes Branch freight cost by determining the most cost effective method to fulfill customer ordersRoutinely interacts with customers to obtain and fulfill orders correctlyInteracts with suppliers as necessary to obtain pricing for itemsPartners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfactionMay assist customer by troubleshooting via telephone or email and identifying correct partAttends training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and developmentPerforms other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Reliability, organization and attention to detail requiredIndustry experience required; product knowledge from previous warehouse experience is preferredCustomer service and communication skills requiredAbility to multi-task and time management skills requiredModerate computer skills, including information processing, communicating internally and externally via email, using business systems and searching capabilities to find products on the InternetEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.GPC believes the fair and equitable treatment of employees, customers, suppliers and other persons is critical to fulfilling its vision and goals.
