Job Description:

Azon is a world leader in the production of machinery and thermal barrier chemicals for use in the manufacture of energy saving windows, and doors. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a skilled Design Engineer. As part of our engineering team, the Design Engineer will assist with the design of material handling and fluid processing equipment and systems used to produce aluminum fenestrations products. -Responsibilities

• Designs, tests, and integrates new material handling and fluid processing equipment into Azon's existing product offering with a focus on automation.
• Evaluates mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and products by conducting research, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
• Creates and configures Bill of Materials and CAD master model.
• Working knowledge of ERP and PDM software.
• Utilizes SolidWorks for sheet metal, exploded assembly, and parts drawings. Knowledge of proper tolerance use, GD&T, and welding symbols.
• Photo rendering, animations, and/or motion analysis helpful.
• Works closely with Azon's sales and marketing staff and service representatives to evaluate customer improvement requests.
  Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering and four years related experience. -
  • Experience with designing material handling and fluid processing equipment preferred
  • Computer skills including proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, AutoCad, ERP systems, Word, and Excel
  • Discrete event modeling is a plus
  • Some travel, both domestically and internationally is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
