Job Description:

WWMT/CW7/wwmt.com has an immediate opening for a creative Digital Content Producer. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day content on our digital platforms, including the station's website and social media. You must also be able to help with assignment desk duties, which include finding content and having the ability to move crews strategically. In this position, you will work with management and staff to generate and write stories and develop content for multiple platforms.--The ideal candidate will have:

• Solid news judgment
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Be able to multitask and manage time in order to complete assignments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily posting--
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews a plus
• Commitment to journalistic standards of ethics and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, AP style writing, attention to grammar and a sense of urgency when breaking news happens--Experience:
  • Must have at least some previous digital content news producing experience at a commercial media station, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered--
