FORMULATION OPERATOR - OSD
The Formulation Operator position performs assembly, preparation,
and cleaning of manufacturing equipment and conducts manufacturing
processes for animal health products in the Building 248 Oral Solid
Dose (OSD) formulation area. This is a position that requires high
attention to detail, awareness of the sensitivities of working in a
manufacturing environment, an engaged work ethic as part of a high
performance team and communicating in a manner that is conducive to
effective working relationships.
All work is performed in strict compliance with manufacturing
standards and regulatory requirements. This includes adhering to
proper documentation practices and following instructions provided
in standard operating procedures and batch records.
Responsible for ensuring safety, environmental, and quality
practices are adhered to in the formulation area; for monitoring
the schedule; for communicating personnel, process, material, and
equipment issues to Leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Basic math and reading comprehension.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Strong mechanical abilities.
Operate, maintain and troubleshoot formulation equipment.
Mechanical reasoning skills that will be essential for
Strong knowledge of GMPs and production practices.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement work
environment; 5S, visual schedule, PDCA, M1, etc.
Ability to train on area SOP s/OJT s- equipment, process,
Experience in manufacturing Oral Solid Dose (OSD) i.e. Tablet
Cleaning, set up, and troubleshooting of equipment; Blending,
Granulation, Tableting, and Coating.
Experience in working with Tech Writer creating and maintaining
Knowledge of Windows based applications.
PHYSICAL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS
Routine lifting of 20-50 lbs.
Prolonged periods of standing.
Flexible hours and overtime may be required.
