The Kalamazoo Container Division is a full service, BRCGS certified corrugated facility with an ISTA certified design lab. We manufacture a wide variety of corrugated products from point of purchase graphic displays, to any size corrugated shipping container. Job description

Maintenance Mechanics & Maintenance Electricians

• Mechanic: Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic system malfunctions or failures on production equipment and executing most feasible method of repair Performs regular preventive maintenance on all machines, equipment and systems. Maintain the facility; other duties as required.
• Electrician: Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic system problems on production equipment and executing the most feasible method of repair. Installs and repairs electrical systems and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment; other duties as required.
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  • High school or technical diploma or equivalent practical experience plus three (3) or more years of related experience preferred. Requires knowledge of production setup, standard operating procedures and required predictive/preventive maintenance for a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Requires working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic test equipment.
  • Requires ability to use machine/equipment manuals and reference books and to work independently and as a team.
  • Focus on Safety and familiarity with safe work practices, including but not limited to Lock out/Tag out and Alternate Protective Measures is required.
  • Must be able to stay constantly alert to and aware of safety hazards in the work environment.
  • Physical aspects of job include standing, bending, squatting, leaning, kneeling, sitting. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Required to work overtime and on weekends. Must be physically and cognitively alert and oriented at all times while at work.
