Job Summary: Supports Kalsec warehouse and logistics operations ensuring timely processing of shipments, accurate inventories and compliance with associated regulations. Uses independent decision making abilities to insure stellar internal and external customer service requirements are met. Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Create shipping documentation (hazard, customs clearance, etc) for international shipments, supporting on domestic shipments as needed.
• Coordinate freight pick-up arrangements with logistics companies, for both domestic and international shipments.
• Monitor upcoming shipment schedules, looking ahead for potential capacity bottlenecks and notifying Logistics Manager so that appropriate staffing can be planned.
• Give advice and direction as needed to the warehouse employees for priorities / sequence in which they should be picking / fulfilling orders, as well as packaging and labeling requirements.
• Work closely with and maintain strong relations with Customer Experience, helping to manage the handoff of orders from Customer Experience to Logistics.
• Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of:

• International shipping requirements; country specific export / import requirements; Inco term guidelines; harmonized tariff classifications.
• Our business relationship and practices with both domestic and international representatives.
• Our strategy for marketing in domestic and international markets and associated customers.
• Our shipping/logistics processes to achieve the shortest transit times with minimum cost to both Kalsec and customers.
• Work directly with satellite locations (Kalsec Europe, Kalsec China, Kalsec Singapore, Kalsec Mexico) on freight requirements for raw materials, finished products, and samples. This would include gaining an understanding of both legal and customer requirements for shipments going to those locations.
• Work directly with Finished Goods Planning and Customer Experience departments in reconciling on hand inventory discrepancies in order to facilitate fulfillment of customer orders.
• To be aware of the company's Q.A. policy and objectives. To observe these policy provisions and fulfill in all respects the requirements of his/her job. QA procedures as defined in the Quality Manual shall be strictly observed.
• Work in a team environment, sharing responsibilities and tasks with others Education/Experience: Required:
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with international shipping document preparation
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Keyboard proficiency
